While diarrhoea can last for short periods of time or may require medication to control
the onset of diarrhoea in cats can be a sign of a wider issue.
Many cat owners are unaware of the impact that their cat’s diet plays in their overall health
so this can be an opportunity to reassess the suitability of their diet.
For those that find that the diarrhoea returns after the cat returns to eating its normal food
it is most likely a dietary issue which needs addressing. Long-term dietary management is an effective tool for preventing diarrhoea in cats as well as ruling out any allergies or intolerances.
