Generally if a dog is allergic to a particular food, you’ll see their symptoms appearing, or worsening, within about 24 hours of exposure. If your dog is itchy, has repeated ear and/or anal gland infections or has repeated bouts of diarrhoea, bad gas, or acid reflux food intolerances may be to blame.
Please note though that all of these symptoms can be caused by other conditions and may not necessarily be food related. Begin by having your vet examine your dog and also by keeping a diary, tracking your dog's symptoms as well as what they eat each day (including treats and extras/toppers) to see if any patterns start to emerge.
