How do I know if my dog is overweight?

All dogs are different but you can find out what an “ideal” weight is for your dog. Use breed weight charts like the one above, but also check with your vet next time you are there.

Overweight dogs can often get out of breath more quickly on walks, they may have a bit of extra padding over the rib cage and have a rounder tummy than before.
