How to weigh a dog

The easiest way to weigh your dog is to take them to a vet or a pet shop that has walk-on scales. Get your dog to stand on the scales until the numbers stop moving and take note of the weight. If you have a small dog you can also place them on bathroom scales at home to get their current weight.

If you’re finding it difficult to do this you can weigh yourself and then weigh yourself holding the dog, the difference in the two numbers will tell you approximately how much your dog weighs.
