Why do you use ground bones in your food?

Bones are crushed to 8mm (can vary 3mm-12mm) and added to all recipes. The reason for adding bones is that they are a rich source of calcium, which is essential for the healthy growth of puppies and kittens as well as the maintenance of adult dogs and cats.

It is important to maintain the balance of calcium to phosphorus ratio in pet meals because meat, whether it is muscle or organ, contains phosphorus. Adding crushed bones helps to balance the phosphorus with calcium from the bones. On average, a slightly higher amount of calcium than phosphorus is the ideal ratio.
