Spirulina is a microscopic algae and its benefits include:
- Made up of more than 60% digestible protein
- Compound phycocyanin enhances immune system
- Chlorophyll detoxifies from the body
- Carotenoid properties rich in antioxidants promoting cellular health
- Reduce allergies (reducing IL6 interleukin) balancing effects on immune variables
- Rich in iron, B vitamins, magnesium and manganese
- Source of fatty acids including GLA (gamma linolenic acid) - this is omega 6 (generally inflammatory) but this has anti inflammatory benefits
