Why do you use herring oil in your cat food and some of your dog food?

Herring oil is included in our cat food range and in our dog Premium Complete, Complete, and Complete Superfood ranges. Herring oil is not included in our dog Pure Meat + Bone range. 

The benefits of herring oil include: 

• Contains omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin B12, protein rich and low in fat
• Omega 3 contains EPA and DHA:  EPA reduce inflammation, improve kidney function and DHA aids development, learning and vision
• Omega 3 is anti inflammatory and works to reduce omega 6 inflammation (from skin in meat)
• Omega 3 oils good for shiny coat and good skin (helps with itchiness)
• Vitamin B is good for energy
