There are several reasons why someone might be considering mixing raw cat food with wet or cooked cat food, including:
- Convenience: Raw feeding isn’t always convenient if, for example, the cat goes to stay in a cattery as the cattery may not have the facility to store raw food. If someone else is feeding the cat, and this person may not be familiar with raw food. Or, if you’re out of the house most of the day, raw food isn’t a practical option for a mid-day meal.
- Reducing the food bill: Raw food is made with high-quality fresh ingredients, which can make it more expensive than processed options.
- Lack of freezer space: Feeding a completely raw diet can take up freezer space that you may want to leave for your own food.
